FR04 Open Houses & Home Showings
by Ken Lawson, J.D.
Now, you’ve prepared your house properly for sale and it is in the top 1/3 condition for your neighborhood. You’ve priced it at or in the lower part of the market range for your neighborhood. You’ve also carefully budgeted for and implemented a marketing plan that’s been properly focused on unrepresented first time buyers, corporate transfers, and sellers upsizing or downsizing. Your next challenge is properly showing your property in a way that will get your house sold.
Holding an open house is an important part of meeting the marketing challenge as well as a very important time to show your home. Now a Realtor does not need to hold any particular house open very often, because it is not a major part of the Realtor’s marketing plan. But for a FSBO, it is critical. So, it should be held open as often as it can be effective, even as much as every two to three weeks.
This report will lead you step by step through the do's and don'ts of holding open houses and showing your home. We will teach you to maximize your results.
